About Compile Quest
Compile Quest is a programming puzzle game without the syntax. You're given a robot, a grid with a goal, and a small set of instruction tiles: MOVE, TURN, REPEAT, IF-WALL. Stack them, hit RUN, and watch your robot execute its program one step at a time. Each level has a memory limit — you can only place so many tiles — so the early puzzles teach you the verbs, and the later ones teach you the elegance. By level 30 you're writing subroutines. By level 50 you're optimizing for speed. Sixty hand-crafted levels, three medal tiers per level (bronze: solved, silver: under target tile count, gold: under target steps), and a "Sandbox" mode where you can build your own puzzles. No syntax errors. No segfaults. Just a small robot, a clean grid, and the satisfying click of a working program.
